Lean management – originally from Toyota’s production system – has been widely adopted in healthcare to eliminate waste and optimize value. This review synthesizes evidence from diverse global settings on lean interventions in hospitals, focusing on impacts on operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, and staff performance. We systematically searched major databases (e.g. PubMed, Scopus) using terms like “lean healthcare”, “lean management”, “hospital efficiency”, and “patient satisfaction”.
